NISOM Employment Opportunities

Earn tuition while gaining job experience!

NISOM is seeking high school or college age students for work study internships.

We currently have the following intern options. Both internships may be filled by the same student; indicate in your application whether you are applying for Operations Intern, Librarian, or both.

Operations Intern: Tasks may include helping at NISOM events, distributing posters and flyers, and light office work such as filing, compiling mailings, folding programs, and faxing press releases. Intern will work closely with the program director and office manager. Hours will average approximately 1.5 per week or 20 hours per trimester but will be on a varying schedule. Some weeks will require no hours while others will require multiple.

Librarian: Tasks include maintaining NISOM’s music library and preparing ensemble folders as instructed. Librarian will report to the executive director. Hours will vary and will primarily be focused around concerts and the start and end of ensembles’ semesters.

Students earn $10 per hour to be applied toward their next session’s tuition payment. Hours earned may also be applied to NISOM workshop fees, registration fees, and concert tickets. Hours worked shall not exceed total cost of fees per session.

To apply, submit an application form to NISOM. Hard copies are available at the NISOM office. Mail or deliver to the address below or email to admin@nisom.com.
