Dubuque Community String Orchestra 20th Year Concert

Free Adult Ensemble Performance
Sunday, November 5, 2017
2:00PM, Emmaus Bible College, Marble Chapel

Join us for a celebration of the Dubuque Community String Orchestra’s (DCSO) 20th year with a special concert on Sunday, November 5 at 2:00PM in Emmaus Bible College’s Marble Chapel.

This concert will feature some of the orchestra’s favorite selections from the past two decades of performances, as well as some works they have not previously performed. Come hear music you’ll love from Baroque classics to fiddle tunes, including works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Sibelius, and Rush. Be sure to stay for a piece of cake! The concert is free and open to the public. Free-will donations will be accepted.

DCSO is a non-auditioned ensemble for adults of any age who play a string instrument. Now sponsored by NISOM, DCSO was founded in 1998 by conductor Tracey Rush to give non-professional musicians an outlet for ensemble performance. In the past 19 years, DCSO has performed: Over 350 works, 52 concerts, in 19 different venues, with 6 different choirs, with 56 different soloists, with 3 guest conductors, and commissioned or premiered 7 new works.

Our thanks to DCSO 2017-2018 season podium sponsors Tim & Christine Conlon.
