Eric Amweg

Brass Faculty

Mr. Amweg has a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and a Masters Degree in Education Management from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Mr. Amweg taught High School music in Wisconsin for more than 25 years and he has served on music selection committees for the Wisconsin School Music Association. He also arranges for low brass ensembles, and two of his works have been premiered by the Loras College Low Brass Ensemble. Currently, Mr. Amweg teaches in Prairie du Chien and is an adjunct faculty member of low brass at the University of Dubuque.

Eric Amweg was born and raised in East Central Wisconsin. In addition to his musical pursuits, he is a mental health technician at Hillcrest Family Services Residential Mental Health Care Facility.  In his free time, he likes to spend time with his wife Denise, son Dexter, grandson Drake, and his dogs Symphony, and Dulce.
