Katie Sigwarth

Violin Faculty

Miss Sigwarth has a BSBA in Computer Information Systems from Thomas Edison State College.  While she isn't a musician by degree, she has the passion and experience. She has played in the UW-Platteville Orchestras and Symphonietta, and during her time at UW-P she had the privilege of studying under the Israeli born cellist, Benjamin Shapira, who studied under the great violinist Isaac Stern. She has also been involved in teaching choir in summer youth camps and is certified to teach Harmony Road Music ages 18 months to adult. She believes that every person has a different learning method and strives to teach each student the way they learn best. She wants each student to learn to love music and find the story it tells.
