Register by August 9. To register, return a completed registration form with class payment to NISOM. No refunds after class registration deadline.

Children's Classes

Preschooler's Music (Ages 4-6)
Wednesdays 3:00-3:30 PM with instructor Rebecca Lansing

Learn singing and vocal development within a group. Discover movement with dancing, creative circle games, and ensemble preparation. Practice listening and responding to music, the basics of reading and writing music, and musical concepts. Explore and play musical instruments such as simple percussion, keyboard instruments, glockenspiel, and playing as an ensemble. $140 each (music materials included).

Kids’ Voice (Ages 7-12)
Wednesdays 5:00-5:30 PM with instructor Rebecca Lansing

Students will practice singing pop hits, movie music, Broadway, classic folk, and traditional tunes as groups, duets and solos. Students will learn proper breathing and singing techniques in a fun, interactive atmosphere while being introduced to part and harmony singing. Beginners through intermediate students welcome.
Limit 5 students. $140, materials included.

Design Your Own Class

Offered in piano, voice, guitar, and preschool music with no experience needed and no registration deadline! See below for details.


High School Classes

Musical Theatre Technique and Performance
Wednesdays 5:30-6:15PM with instructor Rebecca Lansing

This class will teach the fundamentals of healthy vocal technique and performance craft for musical theatre. Students will put these techniques to use by participating in staged solo and ensemble number, with a final “scenes performance” to conclude the session.
$140, materials included.

All-State Chorus Prep

Session 1Tue.-Thur. August 1, 2, 3, 2017
Session 2 Tue.-Thur. August 8, 9, 10, 2017

Two hours per day 4:00-6:00 PM with instructor Pam Crawford

An all-state auditor will teach all-state music as it applies to audition practices and rules. Much emphasis is placed on pitch (a cappella), vocal registers, diction, and phrasing. Students welcome for one or two sessions.  Limit 6 students. $80 per session. All students need to bring a set of all-state music from their director. Register with the class payment by July 18.

All Ages - Design Your Own Class!

Learn a new skill with your friends!
Form your own class with two or three friends based on your schedule. A fun and flexible option! Available for both children and adults with no age or experience requirements; similar skill level among students is best. (Young children may not be able to participate in all classes.) Choose from the following class types, instructors, and lengths, and then sign up for any time that is available. Instructor schedules vary. Prices do not include books. Ask about a senior discount.

Class Length Pricing:
45 minute class (3 student minimum):  $145 each
60 minute class (4 student minimum):  $170 each

No registration deadline. After August 21 you may register a 9-week course beginning September 11 for $110 (45 min) or $125 (60 min); or a 6-week course beginning October 2 for $75 (45 min) or $85 (60 min).
