Kara Tann

Cello, Viola, and Violin Faculty

Kara Tann has earned a M. A. Ed. From Arcadia University in Glenside, PA. She was enrolled in the Honors Program at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, VA and was selected for the Senior Music Educator Award and Selective Music Scholarship. Ms. Tann held the position of Orchestra Teacher in Newton, KS from 2014-2021 where she directed the High School Orchestras and conducted public concerts, adjudicated festivals, and taught beginning, intermediate, and advanced techniques.

Kara Tann is a member of the National Association for Music Education and the American String Teachers Association. She has also performed with several professional symphony orchestras, small ensembles, and solo opportunities. Ms. Tann was the Concerto Competition Winner in March of 2007 at Eastern Mennonite University Orchestra, performing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concert in E minor, 1st movement, Allegro, molto appassionato.
