Mike Jozefowicz

Bass Faculty

Mike Jozefowicz graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville with a bachelor’s degree in music education having both a vocal and an instrumental major.  In 1971 he earned his Master’s Degree in teaching music.  String bass was Mike’s original instrument, but one that he never had opportunity to teach until retirement. When NISOM opened, new opportunities arose, and now each year he enjoys lessons with a number of String Bass and or Electric Bass students.  He has played in pit orchestras for a number of local musicals including ones at Washington, Roosevelt, West Dubuque, and the Grand Theatre; he also plays electric bass for the church praise band “Tumbril and Lyre.”

Mr. J also teaches voice, guitar, trumpet, and percussion at NISOM.
