Emma Fassbinder

Flute and Saxophone Faculty

As a young and talented musician, Emma Fassbinder has been playing piano for over 14 years; flute for 12 years; and saxophone for 10 years. She is a proud alum of Northeast Iowa School of Music and knows, first hand, the impact that our school has in students' lives. Ms, Fassbinder is a fall, 2020 graduate of University of Northern Iowa where she was a distinguished member of the University of Northern Iowa Symphonic Band and the University of Northern Iowa Flute Choir. Also, she was honored to perform a flute duet with Carol Wincenc, professor at Julliard. During her time in Dubuque, Ms. Fassbinder performed in the Dubuque Youth Symphony Philharmonia (principal flute), the Dubuque Symphony Youth Orchestra (two-time principal flute), and was selected three times for the Clarke Honor Jazz Band (saxophone). Emma Fassbinder's instructors include Hsing-I Ho, Dr. Thomas Dickey, and Dr. Angelita Floyd.
